EDGE OF SANITY Crimson II (22 years after its original release, Crimson II returns in a freshly remastered form – finally available again pressd on 180-gram black vinyl. Originally issued in 2003 as the final album under the Edge Of Sanity name, this progressive death metal opus was essentially a solo achievement by Dan Swan (Opeth, Dissection, Incantation), following up the band’s 1996 milestone Crimson. Crimson II is a single, continuous 43-minute concept piece, segmented across two sides of vinyl and remastered in 2025 by Swan himself. Across eleven intricately interwoven movements-including “The Forbidden Words,” “Incantation,” “Covenant of Souls,” and “Aftermath”-Swan delivers heightened technicality, layered composition, and a deepening of the original’s narrative intensity. This reissue offers a definitive revisit to one of progressive death metal’s most visionary works. Picture sleeve with hype sticker, factory sealed)
