GILES, GILES & FRIPP The Cheerful Insanity Of Giles, Giles & Fripp | The Songs (Available for the first time as a standalone, song-only release, The Cheerful Insanity of Giles, Giles & Fripp receives a thoughtful 2025 remaster by David Singleton – stripped of its original spoken word interludes to focus solely on the musical content. Originally issued in 1968 on Decca, this cult classic marks the early collaboration between Peter Giles, Michael Giles, and a young Robert Fripp – blending British psychedelia, baroque pop, and whimsical humour into a curious but rewarding listening experience. Cut by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering and pressed on 200-gram superheavyweight vinyl, this new edition restores the album’s rich harmonies, melodic invention, and Fripp’s exquisite guitar textures to their fullest sonic potential. It’s an ideal entry point for collectors interested in the pre-King Crimson roots of one of progressive rock’s most influential guitarists. Picture sleeve with hype sticker, factory sealed)
