Since 2015, Genevas Les Disques Bongo Joe have been busy proving that genre is more of a suggestion than a rule. To mark ten years in the wild, theyve pulled together 10 Years of Sonic Explorations, a 23-track trip through Anatolian psych, Malawian street-funk, industrial edges, lo-fi folk and everything in between. While the selection features label mainstays like Altin Gn, Hyperculte, and Mauskovic Dance Band, there is plenty of forgotten gems that shine through. – Flying Out
