It was with some bittersweet relief that fans got the news that Depeche Mode would continue on after the death in 2022 of founding member Andy Fletcher. The band’s most recent album Memento Mori arrived earlier this year to fairly universal acclaim, and single Wagging Tongue was considered a fan favourite. Now, to see out a strange but successful year for remaining members Dave Gahan and Martin Gore, the pair have announced a remix single that includes techno takes from Richie Hawtin with Gaiser, Daniel Avery (Phantasy Sound) and Grounded Theory’s Henning Baer. – Flying Out
