Recorded with collaboratorsJoe Kaptein(The Circling Sun) andKenny Sterling,Crystal Chensdebut album is a homespun collection of quiet charm. The Tmaki Makaurau-based artist blends her love of jazz and soul into a warm, analogue world. Across ten tracks, Chen opens an intimate window into the emotional landscapes, foibles and humour that underpin the unvarnished realities of her daily life. – Flying Out
